Em Dialogue of the Tree, a realizadora evoca a sua cumplicidade com o amigo Pierre Creton por intermédio da paisagem. Em The Gardeners of Little Paris, vemos os vizinhos a cultivar vegetais numa horta comunitária. “I like the sense of wonder that arises on the fringes of my everyday life” (Sophie Roger). In Dialogue of the Tree, the director evokes her bond with her friend Pierre Creton through the landscape. In The Gardeners of Little Paris, we see neighbours growing vegetables in a communal garden. The director whispers fragments from Lévi-Strauss’s Tristes Tropiques. With The Blind Spot, we will learn nothing of the origin of desire, but it will become visible in the flowers of squash, rose and artichoke. In The Waves, a shared gaze portrays the friendship between Mohammed, a Sudanese refugee, and the filmmaker.
