Returning to the ring after being stripped of his title for refusing the military draft, Ali faced the undefeated champion before a nation sharply divided over race, war and politics. Greaves and his team captured the media frenzy, the split in public opinion and the fight itself at Madison Square Garden. Restored in 4K, this version presents Greaves’s preferred cut of a film that witnesses a defining convulsion in US history.
